These are 3  ways you get a life partner.
BY YOURSELF -
following your instinct, When you just go for the features you desire in your potential partner. This could be the look, influence or affluence. Having these qualities in view isn't the problem, but making them the core focus.

BY THE DEVIL-
  When you fall a prey to an angel of darkness, who has been transformed and presented as an angel of light. This happens when you are carried away by the good characters, ministrial enthusiasm and spiritual demonstrations of a person. These don't proof the person as born again in Christ, because these could be pretense, eye service or ordinary passion
Or when the devil manipulates the information you are getting about whom your life partner is. When you don't make a detailed spiritual inquiry about your partner, the devil can keep bringing people who seem to have the qualities you long crave. 

BY GOD-
That is involving God from the very beginning of your choosing, not later. Some people neglect God a the point of choosing, but would now want to confirm from God if their choice is the right one, just because they are now facing issues or seeing red flags along the line.
