THE RING I COULDN’T WEAR - part 2

Samuel picked his Bible and dropped it again. He walked to his shelf and picked up another Bible, and dropped it on the table again. He had several Bible translations in the house. Why wouldn‟t he? He was just preparing together with his friend – Mike for school of ministry. He was a very fervent and respected brother in his church. The previous week he was handing over to the new youth president, almost all the youths in the church were in tears. Who didn‟t love Bro Sam? He had to handover so he could travel with Mike to their school of ministry. He was called of God and he was so sure.

He was shocked. No, confused or better still flabbergasted by the news he just heard. How could Rachael be pregnant? NO! She can‟t be! She certainly cannot! This is „Pressy‟ in question as his fellow youths addressed him. He was a man full of passion and love of God. A role model to many in church and even beyond. How would people feel when they heard Bro Sam impregnated Sister Rachael? 

Though, everyone knew they were courting. In fact, everyone loved it. Considering this „spiritual giant‟ in a relationship with the Pastor‟s daughter! A nice combo! Rachael had been the former Bible Study Coordinator before she handed over too and now the present General Secretary. Wow! How unpleasant would it be for a general secretary to be pregnant? Not just a general secretary, the only child of the Pastor also! 

Too much consideration on the two spiritual „couples‟. What of the pastor in question? The General Overseer of a fast growing ministry! He already had his church in four countries already and they have flooded streets upon streets. A powerful and respected man of God. Howbeit that such a man‟s daughter was pregnant before her marriage!

Samuel knew he was done for. He was totally confused. Now, Promise already knew about it, gradually, people would start knowing. Little concern on that, people would definitely know at the end. They‟d see the protruded stomach surely! This is not a thing that can be hidden! He kept on thinking as he paraded the living room and kept sweating profusely. Just then, he heard a knock at the door.

He was startled as he kept staring at the door.
